Bio:
Grant Smith is new to Arizona State’s ROTC program but has nearly a decade of weight training experience. At age 14 he started training with Chad Reilly, an American Weight Lifting Association Champion. Now all grown up, Grant is 6′6″, weighs 270 pounds and keeps his workout schedule interesting by mixing in Brazilian jujitsu. Grant is also passionate about nutrition and has done extensive research on the subject.

Bio: In High School Lamar was a lineman on his football team’s offense and defense. He loved crushing his opponents and was revered by his teammates for the way he laid people out. But that all changed one Friday night when an opposing player smashed his helmet into Lamar’s knee tearing his A.C.L. and ending his football career. Lamar had reconstructive surgery, but sidelined, he gained weight. He wanted work out, but didn’t know how to exercise without aggravating his old injury. Now Lamar is looking forward to learning new training methods from Grant that will get him back to staying healthy while protecting his knee.

Quandraco Thompson First Name: Quandraco
Last Name: Thompson
Class: 2009
Major: Sociology

Bio: Quandraco use to be in much better shape. When he was young he played tennis and was active with friends but became more of a home-body when his family moved out of Michigan. In his new home he gained weight and lost the motivation to exercise. This, however, is not the end of the line for Quandraco. Joining a fraternity helped boost his self confidence and he entered this competition to improve his self esteem. Quandraco has an awesome sense of humor so expect big results and big laughs from him and his best friend/training partner Lamar.
