Grammy, BRIT, Oscar and Golden Globe-winning musician Annie Lennox treated students at California State Long Beach with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity hosting as their guest professor for the day. Ms. Lennox appeared unannounced in the school’s “Women in Global Perspective” class, which examines how we might imagine a more equitable world and why feminism should be concerned with global perspectives. As an iconoclast who has successfully experimented with her image as an artist and woman for more than 20 years, Ms. Lennox was able to offer the class a truly unique perspective and wisdom not found in any textbook.
