RIT student directed a “thundering experimental response” to Dante’s Inferno. The poem, not the video game.
In this week’s In Focus feature, director Harlan Doolittle syncs music and models in a four-minute clip inspired by Dante’s Inferno, the first part of the ancient Italian epic, Divine Comedy. In Inferno, Dante explores the nine circles of Hell. In “Blight,” models move among flashing frames, wild animation, smoke and floating body parts to original music by Calvin Lee, making this watch hella cool.
