Mobisode Production Blog by Amy

Season-ending Ep 6 endured a painful birth. First the script was too sweet, then too salty, then too non-existent, then finally, it was just right, controversial, but just right. Inspired by the tasering of a UCLA student by campus police, none of us knew if the powers that be were going to let the Episode air – but alas, freedom of speech and the power of goofy comedy triumphed, and the Ep is a go! And it’s my favorite Ep so far; not only did I get to taser Kevin (festooned as he was in a leopard print towel), but we discovered what the "Mobisoders" futures have in store for them. All these years spent reading my horoscope when my fate lay in the hands of one Kevin Smith from Red Bank, New Jersey. Who knew???

This class was unlike any other – we ran from Tijuana to Austin to NYC in search of that which sucked the least, we caught cat naps on the hard, cold floor of the editing room, we were tattooed, dressed in drag and swathed in butter, we raced amphibians, fished for squirrels, got naked (kind of), fought bulls (kind of), and learned to Samba (kind of – sorry, Bodie!). And we got to work/chill/laugh with Kevin Smith, one of the funniest, most original and iconic writer/directors working today. Not bad for 4 credits at the local state university, if you ask me.

Big kisses and thanks to all – Kevin, Rory, Brian, David, Barbara, and all my fellow Mobisoders-in-arms – face it, we are now bonded for life.
