Wow! I can't believe we're on episode 5! Working on Sucks Less this quarter has been a really amazing and crazy experience, and such a great opportunity. As a DP it definitely got better each and every episode with new tools (yeah finally for sunguns!) and by getting to go along on all the crazy segment expeditions--including a long drive to spooky Arizona, squirrely squirrels and being part of Bodie's pulsing Samba madness. This episode in particular was a lot of fun. I got to hang out of a sunroof while Jeyun stealthily drove through the streets of Downtown LA trying to shoot the midnight riders in all of their glory AND I got my first tattoo (to celebrate cinematography and being at UCLA for grad school)! And yes that's a little bit of a nerdy tattoo to get, but if you love something you have to let it go...and then if it comes back to you --you have to get a tattoo of it on your head--isn't that how it goes? Anyways, it didn't hurt and I love cinematography. Oh yeah and Kevin is really funny and a pleasure to work for. xoxo Dagmar
