This was a close one. Congrats to Marco Polo & Torae for just sneaking in with the Freshmen win this week and having their video added to on-air rotation. Their video did give me a good laugh, as was its intention. I also think we should acknowledge Elizabeth and the Catapult for giving the others a real run for their money. The group stayed right there in contention until the very end and it warmed my heart a little to see an NYC band doing so well in the polls. (Came down to just a teensy 1% of the votes!) I do wish Polly Scattergood had received a bit more love and I still suggest you check out that album. It’s unusual and worth a listen. Alright kids, until next week’s round then.
