Mixtapes Turns ‘Bad Parts’ Into Good Tunes

“…stop blaming everyone else, and start looking at the real you.” – Mixtapes’ Ryan Rockwell

Cincinnati band Mixtapes puts out a catchy blend of hook-laden pop punk distinguished by the groups positive and earnest message. This new video for “Bad Parts” is a prime example depicting all kinds of naughty habits (triple baconator anyone?) being interspersed with shots of the band playing in an empty amusement park.

Guitarist/vocalist Ryan Rockwell puts it sagely like this: “The video depicts the song, people doing things out of habit and avoiding reality. Whether it’s feeling ugly, being addicted to social media, alcohol, or eating. I’d say it accompanies the theme of the album which is to stop blaming everyone else, and start looking at the real you.”

Mixtapes is touring heavily right now and their second LP Ordinary Silence hits stores June 25th. You can pre-order from No Sleep Records right here.
