Third Eye Blind downplays a burning tour bus as they answer questions in this week’s Hot Seat.
1. Tell us about your craziest touring experience.
Third Eye Blind: In Boise, ID, my bus caught on fire while i was sleeping on it. And I was so tired I asked if I could sleep through it. My tour manager said “Dude! The bus is on fire!”
2. What type of college class would you’d most want to take and why?
Third Eye Blind: Film studies. I’d like to take that one again because I slept through every single class.
3. What city in America is the most fun to visit and why?
Third Eye Blind: San Francisco. In spite of being deluded by all that lame, yuppy money, it’s still the most funky, forward thinking city in the Union. We still know how to freak it.
4. What’s some of the best advice you were ever given?
Third Eye Blind: Radical self reliance, radical inclusion is how you thrive in the desert.

Third Eye Blind: Rachel Maddow. Oh, it’s her 1 year anniversary.
7. What’s the first concert you ever saw - how was it?
Third Eye Blind: I don’t remember who was playing. I was about 9 and I could smell all these exotic scents like weed, and girls perfume mixed with girls sweat and they were screaming and pushing up against me-and it was dangerous, and erotic, and great, and I had no idea what was going on.

Third Eye Blind: Camper Van Beethoven, Led Zepplin, Pixies, The Clash, Bob Dylan, Lead Belly
