The Hot Seat: There for Tomorrow

Find out why doing a 180 degree spin in a van, at 3 A.M., on a highway in Texas isn’t as fun as it sounds when There For Tomorrow’s guitarist Christian Climer hops into The Hot Seat.

Q: Tell us about your craziest touring experience.

There For Tomorrow: Hmm, well at the very end of last year, we were making our way out to Vegas. As anyone knows, touring during that time is super sketchy especially if you’re in a van. :( . We were at the tip of Texas going into New Mexico at about 3 a.m. and our van and trailer did a complete 180 turn on the highway, so everyone that was sleeping woke up facing semis coming towards us, and we were pretty scared. Nothing like that had ever happened to us before and we really hope it doesn’t happen again.

Q: What type of college class would you’d most want to take and why?

There For Tomorrow: Anything that has to do with Film. I’m really into that stuff so that’s definitely where I would be :)

Q: What city in America is the most fun to visit and why?

There For Tomorrow: I know everyone really enjoyed Vegas the last time we were there, and we are gonna be there again in a week! And it just so happens the night we play there is Jay’s birthday… so I think we are going to have a pretty insane night to say the least. ;)

Q: What’s some of the best advice you were ever given?

There For Tomorrow: Do work.

Q: What’s in heavy rotation in your MP3/CD player right now?

There For Tomorrow: Katy… Perry… Sorry. But I love her.

Q: The last good book you read or TV show you’re addicted to.

There For Tomorrow: LOST! And Entourage. Amazing shows.

Q: What’s the first concert you ever saw - how was it?

There For Tomorrow: Haha, it was the Good Charlotte and New Found Glory Honda Civic Tour. New Found was awesome.

Q: What are three items you can’t live without on tour?

There For Tomorrow: My Mac, Clothing, and phone… pretty simple.

Q: Who are your major musical influences?

There For Tomorrow: We all listen to so many different kinds of music. It ranges from all genres. But my biggest personal influence would have to be Justin Timberlake. But we honestly take in anything and everything, because everyone has got something to say.

Q: Any random messages or tips you’d like to give to mtvU watchers?

There For Tomorrow: Thank you for EVERYTHING, and props to mtvU for giving a band like us a chance. Be thankful you have mtvU!
