Barfly of The Saturday Knights fills us in on what college class he’d like t take, the best advice he’s ever gotten, and what was the best part of getting to see Stryper in concert on this week’s Hot Seat.
1. Tell us about your craziest touring experience.
The Saturday Knights: We slept in an airplane hangar in Texas and that’s enough about that.
2. What type of college class would you’d most want to take and why?
The Saturday Knights: Macrame. I’m done with depending on amateurs to hang my ferns.
3. What city in America is the most fun to visit and why?
The Saturday Knights: They’re all equally fun! Yeah, American Cities! Yeah!
4. What’s some of the best advice you were ever given?
The Saturday Knights: Don’t jump in the pool until a half hour after eating.
5. What’s in heavy rotation in your MP3/CD player right now?
The Saturday Knights: Same s*** everyone else is listening to.
6. The last good book you read or TV show you’re addicted to.
The Saturday Knights: I just read VALIS by Phillip K Dick. It was good. I can’t go to sleep unless the dude who sells baseball cards on QFC is yelling in the background so I guess that covers part two of your question.
7. What’s the first concert you ever saw - how was it?
The Saturday Knights: Stryper. A girl two grades above me let me feel her boobs. Stryper sucked.
8. What are three items you can’t live without on tour?
The Saturday Knights: You need a vehicle. You need a dude who gets you stuff and drives forever and then you need legroom so try to call shotgun infinity right at the beginning of the tour and hold firm.
9. Who are your major musical influences?
The Saturday Knights: We’re huge fans of rap music.
