The Expendables share a new, novel and revolting way to use those empty Ramen Noodle cups around your dorm and more….
1. Tell us about your craziest touring experience?
Well long story short. A girl pooped in an empty cup of noodles in our van once.
2. What type of college class would you’d most want to take and why?
I’d probably take some sort of music law classes and get a little more educated in the business side of my career.
3. What city in America is the most fun to visit and why?
Every city is fun in it’s own way. A few that stick out in my mind is New Orleans and New York. New Orleans has incredible music and the party never stops, ever. New York is just amazing. Anything you can dream of is in this city. You want to do a body shot Off a Croatian midget trapeze artist you can. And there is probably a better one three blocks away.
4. What’s some of the best advice you were ever given?
Practice, practice, practice. C MONEY from slightly Stoopid told me as a musician you always need to practice. And he is right.
5. What’s in heavy rotation in your MP3/CD player right now?
Michael Bubble and Nora Jones. Nora jones has a way she sings that is so unique. Its rough and smooth at the same time. I love her voice. Michael Bubble has the smoothest voice out there. And he looks like he’s legitimately having a good time on stage. I secretly want to have a crooning side project.
6. The last good book you read or TV show you’re addicted to?
Who reads? My mom, who is a teacher, would be so proud. The TV show “How I Met Your Mother,” is an amazing show. Neil Patrick Harris character, Barney is absolutely genius and you can identify with all the characters. Me and my guitar player are obsessed.
7. What’s the first concert you ever saw – how was it?
8th grade. REM at Shoreline Amphitheater and it was truly a great first concert. And probably inspired me to be in a band today.
8. What are three items you can’t live without on tour?
Baby wipes- it’s like a shower for your ass after every poop. PS3, because there’s a lot of down time on the road and why not kill some zombies. And now the tremendous app Words with Friend. I have at least 12 games going at all times. Mostly with my band and crew. It’s borderline pathetic
9. Who are your major musical influences?
There are too many to count. But some of the biggest are The Police, the original band in our genre. Bad religion and NOFX, I love and will always love punk music and they are my favorite for many reasons. Slightly Stoopid. Not only are they a super original band but their sound is always evolving. They are a super independent band that has made it to the top of the game and it’s really inspiring for a band like us to see that.
