We managed to get lead singer/all-around spitfire Chantal Claret to stop a sec and talk to mtvU’s Hot Seat about tour craziness, the importance of keeping it sexy and more.
Q: Tell us about your craziest touring experience.
A: Well this past tour our drummer got a serious back infection and he had to go to the hospital for surgery in Arizona after playing a kick ass show with Fall Out Boy. We had to then meet a drummer the next day for the first time and play with him for 5 hours then play a show with him in Sacremento that night. High Stress- Huge Pay off. . cause that is how we roll.
Q: What type of college class would you most want to take and why?
A: Sexual Psychology of Humans, and i think the reason is self explanatory.
Q: What city in America is the most fun to visit and why?
A: Any city that has kids who are psyched to flip out and rock with us, so basically ALL of them are insanely fun! Plus any city where I have a day off the next day, cause that means PARTY TIME!
Q: What’s some of the best advice you were ever given?
A: “Don’t expect anything to happen until it happens”
Q: What’s in heavy rotation in your mp3/CD player right now?
A: Arctic Monkeys, I love them with a passion!
Q: The last good book you read or TV show you’re addicted to?
A: TOTALLY ADDICTED TO. . . LOST!!! Unfortunately I have only seen the first season on DVD, I am never around the tv during primetime. I am reading a biography on Peter Sellers now, it is quite interesting.
Q: What’s the first concert you ever saw and how was it?
A: The first ROCK concert I ever remember going to was seeing the B 52’s on Earth Day for free in Central Park in 2nd grade. I loved them and it was a magical moment!
Q: What are three items you can’t live without on tour?
A: COMPUTER! CELL PHONE! BATHING SUIT!
Q: Who are your major musical influences?
A: Nina Simone, Queen, ACDC, The Zombies, etc. . .

A: Stay in school, crack is whack, and most importantly, KEEP IT SEXY!!
