The Hot Seat: Little Brother

At first listen, North Carolina hip-hop trio Little Brother don’t sound like they come from the South. You won’t find too much crunk in the music they make. What you will find, however, are the tight beats and on-point rhymes that have had the underground going crazy since they formed in the late ’90s. With their album The Minstrel Show fresh in stores, Little Brother’s 9th Wonder (who’s also built up a pretty good rep as a producer-for-hire) braved mtvU’s Hot Seat to talk NYC, New Edition and the importance of self-knowledge. Don’t miss their performace at the 2005 Woodie Awards.
