Jeremy Butler from Between the Trees is our guest in this week’s Hot Seat where he’ll be answering our burning questions.
1. Tell us about your craziest touring experience.
We just toured recently in January with Anberlin in Canada. So winter in Canada was ridiculous in it’s self! But we definitely had fun our first time in -40 degree weather.
2. What type of college class would you’d most want to take and why?
Honestly I’d love to take an American History class. It’s just always a subject that has peaked my interest.
3. What city in America is the most fun to visit and why?
The city in America most fun to visit for us is probably LA. We usually frequent a certain saloon on Sunset with a mechanical bull that always turns out fun.
4. What’s some of the best advice you were ever given?
Best advice ever given would be “Don’t get too excited, it hasn’t happened yet”
5. What’s in heavy rotation in your MP3/CD player right now?
Ryan Adams-”Cold Roses”
Coldplay- “Parachutes”
6. The last good book you read or TV show you’re addicted to.
Tv show the entire band is addicted to is definitely “Lost”. Can’t get enough!
7. What’s the first concert you ever saw - how was it?
First concert I ever saw was MXPX at Hard Rock Live in Orlando. It was unbelievable, but was too scared to crowd surf.
8. What are three items you can’t live without on tour?
1. iPhone
2. Loofa
3. Baseball glove
9. Who are your major musical influences?
Major musical influences are everything from The Beatles to Miles Davis to Buddy Holly to The Getupkids and many in between.
10. Any random messages or tips you’d like to give to mtvU watchers?
