This week’s Hot Seat features the sweet sounds of Canadian singer/songwriter Anjulie. Find out what class she wishes she could take in college, and what treasured item she lost as she answers our burning questions.
1. Tell us about your craziest touring experience.
Anjulie: When I was on tour w Jesse we played Atlantic City and there was a blizzard storm. I drove the tour van from Atlantic City to Charlotte with no visibility and no sleep. Very scary! That was the same nite a 45 yr old man asked me to autograph his belly after the show
2. What type of college class would you’d most want to take and why?
Anjulie: I would want to take psychology to see if all my self analytical theories are hocus pocus or not.
3. What city in America is the most fun to visit and why?
Anjulie: Boston. The crowd was really pumped and it was the first place I could get some real vegetarian food.

Anjulie: “Have fun”- it’s much easier said than done.
5. What’s in heavy rotation in your MP3/CD player right now?
Anjulie: Lilly Allen. NASA. and some ideas for my next record
6. The last good book you read or TV show you’re addicted to.

TV show- “Mad Men”
7. What’s the first concert you ever saw - how was it?
Anjulie: Michael Jackson. I was just a baby and my mom took me. We had nose bleeders so all I remember is a big video screen and everytime I saw a sparkly glove people would go nuts.
8. What are three items you can’t live without on tour?
Anjulie: My big blue parka which doubles as a sleeping bag in the back seat, my 3 knuckle silver “AnJi” ring…. which I lost :(, and my cute keyboard player Pete
9. Who are your major musical influences?
Anjulie: Female singer songwriters. Everything from Alanis Morrisette and Missy Elliot to Bjork and Annie Lennox and Lauryn Hill.
