My approach to making a top ten list of the best music videos was to look for originality, creativity, and innovation. Specifically, I love if the video tells a story, is touching, is funny, or has a signature dance move. I tried not to pick anything too recent, because even though I pretty much love all the current songs/videos, all the stuff that is out there has been done in some form or another. I wanted to look for the groundbreakers, risk takers, and memorable songs as well as the videos. The current mainstream music is great, but I feel that these throwbacks deserve some recognition.
