Ed From Penn State’s Top Ten

edI started off my list by going to an old school artist with her new school sound with the help of Pharell, Madonna’s “Give it 2 Me” is Number 10. The next three songs are three of my favorites from the respective artists and the story lines in numbers 9 and 8 fascinate me every time I see the videos. Coldplay has a history of awesome videos and this one is no different from their newest album, “Lovers In Japan” mixes a new age sound with captivating lyrics and the video brings it all together. Pharell’s help is back in number 5 with Common’s “Mind Control,” an odd and exciting video to a wonderful song. One of my favorite videos of the 2000’s is Nine In The Afternoon at number 4. It is all over the place and it is obvious that much thought was put into the design. The song is like nothing that anyone has ever heard and the video is Panic At the Disco’s style to a T. The Fray’s cover of Kanye’s “Heartless” was outstanding and the video was excellent. Mixing intricate drawings and the usual Fray sound with a popular rap song was a brilliant idea. “Pinch Me” at number 2 is one of those videos that makes me laugh every time I see it. Combining creative lyrics with a creative video, this song will stay in my memory forever. Number 1 has some of the best dancing I think I have ever seen in a video and the beat is nasty. Missy Elliot delivered again with this single.
