KCSU is Colorado State University’s student-run radio station. In addition to serving our target audience, the university community, KCSU provides a unique opportunity for the students of Colorado State University to learn about radio in a fun and professionally inspired environment. KCSU’s mission statement is to serve the Colorado State University community.
The KCSU music format focuses on new college and alternative music. The music includes all styles of music from Sad Bastard Country to Punk, Hip Hop and the all-inclusive genre of Indie. KCSU’s goal is to provide an opportunity for lesser known bands as well as more famous bands to have their music heard including b-sides and alternatives to the singles pushed out. KCSU believes in promoting albums rather than a specific song to allow the artist the opportunity to have their whole message conveyed.
