We wanted to choose a handful of songs that served several purposes. Firstly, songs that accurately represent what we play and what we love in all regards. We wanted to span subgenres that would highlight what any person randomly switching on WKNC during the normal course of their day might experience. Plus, we wanted songs that we think rock. From the lesser known to the better known in the independent music world we wanted to give old favorites new life and new favorites the exposure they deserve.
