Referencing Don Delillo, and writing songs in light of a major break-up, The Airborne Toxic Event has just recently been garnering a good deal of press for their self-released and self-titled debut album. Lead singer Mikel Jollet has often mentioned the band considers the fact that a song can sound different on an album versus played live. Therefore they aim to release tracks that reflect the various arrangements the band creates for both circumstances. Keeping that in mind, the group presents an instrumental version of “Sometime Around Midnight” for Ahead of the Curve.
