The final day of shooting brings seven artists to showcase their individual styles on the South by Southwest scene. The array of genres includes everything from recent Duke graduate Mike Posner’s “cool pop,” which he recorded for the first time in his college dorm room, to relative of Judy Garland, Audra Mae’s “gypsy cowgirl soul.”

After gaining attention for the track “HYPNTZ,” a mash-up of B.I.G. and Rihanna singles, artist Dan Black went on to release a handful of successful singles before dropping his full-length album UN in February. Set to perform at Lollapalooza 2010 later this summer, Black brings the infinitely catchy “Symphonies” to Ahead of the Curve.
 

VV Brown is a British recording artist whose first studio album Traveling Like A Light was released in the summer of 2009.

With the release of their self-titled debut LP, the group received a huge crush of fandom for their trendy, genre-crossing sound.
